Jaywalkers!
Jaywalkers by Grumperina
Shown in Regia Brasil in Salvador
Knit on 2.5mm circular Addi Turbos
My first pair of Jaywalkers and my first pair of handknit socks. I have to admit that when I started knitting
(not even a year ago) I thought handknitting socks was insane. I couldn't see why anyone would want to put that
kind of time and effort into a pair of socks. Then I became intrigued by self-striping sock yarn and by this
ever-present Jaywalker pattern. I knew I had gone off the deep end when I ordered enough yarn to make 6 pairs of
socks and I had yet to even try making one pair.
There were some growing pains like getting used to such tiny needles, doing a heel turn (that was actually easy),
and picking up the gusset stitches. And how could I forget kitchener stitch to close the toe of each sock? I have to admit
I completely bungled that on the first sock.
Needless to say if you've looked at my Yarn Stash page, the power of the mighty
Jaywalker sucked me in and I am now obsessed with sock knitting. Soon the projects page will be overrun with socks!
