Lady Eleanor Stole

Scarf Style by Pam Allen
Shown in Noro Kureyon #164, 3 skeins
on size 9 47" circular needle

I was planning to make Lady E from Kureyon #92, but one day when I was looking for a project to start I realized I had 10 skeins of #92 as well. So here she is, nearly finished in #164 which seems like a very northwest colorway.

I've enjoyed knitting Lady E for many reasons. First, I learned how to pick up stitches so I could do entrelac. After reading the instructions in this pattern it made complete sense to me. Back when I made my Booga Bag I had no idea how to pick up stitches. Since the bag is felted, it didn't really matter that I botched that part. Second, you can complete a single square when you only have a few minutes and a complete row when you have more time so you feel like you're making progress. Finally, who doesn't want to watch the color changes play out?

I don't know yet whether I will still use #92 to make a second Lady E. I'm not sure I would wear two that often so it may depend on whether anyone else I know would want one.
